Ever since trying Rocca’s Grigsby cabernet, I’ve been in love with the winemaker. Her name is Celia Welch Masyczek for this particular vintage, but in 2008, Paul Colantuoni took over. Ms. Masyczek makes a line of top notch wines like Scarecrow. What I like about Rocca syrah is it has the depth and complexity of a wine twice its price. Every sip is bursting with silky, creamy berries and you can tell it’s a well-crafted wine.
